  • 100g Asparagus
  • 1-2 cloves minced garlic (depends on how much you lke garlic!)
  • 1/2 t lemon grated rind
  • 1/2 t dried parsley
  • 1/4 t dried oregano
  • black pepper (to taste)
  • sea salt (to taste)


  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Trim asparagus. (You simply trim the asparagus by snapping off the bottom. The asparagus will “tell you” where it wants to be broken. Trust the vegetable!)
  3. Spread the spears on a sheet of non-stick aluminum foil.
  4. Add the seasonings and mix thoroughly.
  5. Give asparagus room on the foil and place on a cookie sheet in the middle rack of the oven.
  6. Roast 15-20 minutes.

Quick notes

Depending on your oven, you may need to cook this asparagus recipe at 380 or 425. To get the maximum flavor, it’s great to brown the bottom side of the asparagus and caramelize the natural sugars in the vegetable.


Add some red pepper flakes to the spices for a little zip. Or, if you’re working with Phase 3 hcg diet recipes, you can even sprinkle some fresh parmigiana for a nice cheese addition. Be certain to use in season organic asparagus for this hcg diet plan recipe.
