HCG Diet Chicken Broth Recipe. A simple chicken broth recipe with flavor and limited sodium to taste.
Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Cook time: 240 Minutes
Yield: 1 Serving
1 grams fat
– 3 large chicken breasts
– 10 or more cups of water
– ½ large onion chopped
– Pinch of sage
– 4 stalks of celery chopped
– 5 cloves of garlic sliced
– 1 bay leaf
– Salt and pepper to taste
In a large soup pot or crock pot combine chicken and 10 or more cups of water. Water should slightly cover the chicken. Add celery and spices.
Heat to a boil then reduce heat to simmer. Allow to slow cook for 4 hours. Remove vegetables and chicken from broth.
Refrigerate stock and skim off the chicken fat. Put through a strainer for a clear broth. Save the chicken and make chicken salad or add to soups. Makes multiple servings.

HCG Chicken Broth Recipe Tips and Tricks
How can we make this chicken broth even more delicious? Here’s an idea – Use split chicken (or whole chicken) with bones in and gently boil for an hour or two longer. If you are going to include bones and skin, make certain to spoon off all fat & filter the brother through a strainer.
The objective for making our own broth is to limit the ‘bad stuff’ from canned broths while at the same time enhancing the flavor. Make sure to spoon off the fat no matter what! Make it flavorful without the additional calories.
Keep in mind, when making your own broth, you are really making the foundation for many of your dishes. That said, spice it up or down as you see fit! Perhaps even including some other herbs during the cooking process might suitable for you. Did someone say a sprig or rosemary or a pinch of marjoram? It’s your call!
