HCG Italian Herb Fish and Broccoli

Recipe: HCG Italian Herb Fish with Broccoli

  • 3 ½ oz White fish
  • 3 ½ oz Broccoli chopped
  • 1 Tomato peeled and cut into small pieces
  • Basil, thyme, oregano. Fresh or dried.
  • ½ lemon


  1. Place salt, pepper, herbs and spices in the bottom of a skillet.
  2. Add fish, drizzle with lemon.
  3. Add broccoli and tomato pieces with a few tbs of water and simmer till fish is thoroughly cooked. The tomatoes simmer with the herbs and make a tomato marinara flavored sauce.
  4. Pour juices over fish and garnish with lemon wedge.

Quick notes

A hearty white fish is preferred in this application. We need a fish that is going to hold up to the simmer of the broth in the pan. A flaky fish like perch or catfish is not as accepting of the cooking application as Alaskan Cod or even a Roughy. Pollock may hold up, bu I haven’t tried it.


Another way to work this recipe would be to coat the chicken in the herbs before adding to the simmering water. This would ensure that the herbs stick to the fish for additional flavor. Remember, reserve a slice of lemon wedge to squeeze over the top of the fish after cooking. Also – Don’t overcook the fish! It is really easy to do. Follow directions closely, or go out on your own with each of our hcg diet recipes.
