Alcohol on the HCG Diet

Is alcohol allowed on the HCG Diet?  This post and additional information helps to uncover the answer about HCG and alcohol.

In a word, NO!  Alcohol is NOT allowed on the HCG Diet.  Part of the HCG Diet is cleansing the body and purging of body load from excess toxins.

Alcohol will depress the CNS, slow down your metabolism and restrict your weight loss.

Specifically, alcohol during Phase 2 of the HCG Diet is strictly forbidden.  Some would argue that during Phase 3, limited amounts can be consumed.

I believe that if you are committed to the program, stay strong and stay off the sauce.  Try fixing a mint-lemonade iced drink, or even strawberry lemonade.  Refreshing, healthy and delicious!

Here's a nice discussion where you can engage other HCG Dieters and ask questions such as this one.

So, in a nutshell…a committment to excellence while on the HCG Diet is necessary!  You're not fooling anyone (other than yourself) by consuming alcohol on the hcg diet.  Always remember, "Feeling hungry (or feeling tipsy) doesn't feel nearly as good as weight loss".
